POIを作成してみる

POIデーターの作成方法をまとめてみました。
◆準備するもの
　POIの元データー：TOMTOM Navigator 5 UK版 POI.DAT
　Perlスクリプト：extract_ttpoi.pl
　　　ダウンロード⇒こちらから
　　　(Windowsの場合、別途ActivePerlが必要です。）
　　　　実行例）perl extract_ttpoi.pl -f c:\poi.dat -w c:\tomtom\poi\ -a -o
　　　　　　-f POI元データーのパス
　　　　　　-w 書き出し先のフォルダー
　　　　　　-a ASCII形式でファイル保存
　　　　　　-o OV2形式でファイル保存(TOMTOM用のPOIデーター)
　PoiEdit.exe　POIデータ編集ソフト

補足）
ユーザーが作成したPOIのカテゴリー最大数は40個のようです。
デフォルトのデーター変換後のカテゴリー数は４５個
＋１(個人作成)なのでどれか削る必要がありそうです。
（もしくはカテゴリーをマージ）

基本的には"extract_ttpoi.pl"を実行すれば、必要なPOIデーターの
作成は完了です。（extract_ttpoi.pl内で言語をFrance語からEnglishへ変更）

私の場合、2つのカテゴリーが未登録で不明なカテゴリーとして
作成されていました。

Undef9372.asc (Undef9372.ov2)
ASCファイルを開いて中身を
確認してみると、どうやらAirportとTheatreっぽかったので
Airport.ascとTheatre.ascにそれぞれ追加コピーしました。

この２つのカテゴリーのデーターはASCII(テキスト)形式なので
そのままではTOMTOMで利用できません。
ここで登場するのが"PoiEdit"と言うPOIの編集ソフトです。

使い方は到って簡単、先ほど作成したAirport.ascとTheatre.ascを
PoiEditで開き、メニューのFile⇒Save asでOV2形式で変換保存するだけです。

このようにして出来上がった全てのOV2ファイルを
PDAのSDカード内のマップフォルダーにコピーして
オリジナルのPOI.datを削除(もしくはリネーム)すれば
POIデーターの追加は終了です。

後はPDA側でオリジナルのアイコンを画面キャプチャーして
PC上でグラフィックソフトを利用して、１個づつ力技で
BMPファイルを作成していけば完了です。
（これが結構面倒な・・・　（ｗｗ

そもそもオリジナルのPOIデーターが表示されないのが
問題なんです・・・
