Never before Microsoft was delivering upgrades or updates directly to end users - always it was either through wireless carriers or manufacturers. This time Microsoft however has changed this practice! Still some new Windows Mobile 6 phones have old Office Mobile that doesn't support Office Mobile 2007 documents so availability of this download proves that Microsoft really cares about customers (here: "Save As" dialog box that shows .docx file support):
