E-Ten is likely to add a new model to its family of Pocket PC Phone devices in the nearest future.
According to Portavik.ru, the upcoming E-Ten X500 is going to be the first handset with both WLAN and GPS offered by the Taiwanese manufacturer. Unfortunately, E-Ten is still ignoring user requests for 3G cellular connectivity, so the quad-band novelty won稚 be able to offer anything better than EDGE.

Just like the company痴 other models (without ・・in their name), the X500 is powered by a 400 MHz Samsung 2442 processor, and has 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM. One can assume E-Ten already has an updated X500+ with extra storage in mind. The operating system is Windows Mobile 5.0 with the latest AKU 3.0.

The E-Ten X500 is equipped with a common 2.8-inch color QVGA TFT screen, micro-SD card slot, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 2-megapixe camera with autofocus. As mentioned above, it also has a Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) transceiver and a SiRFStar III GPS receiver onboard.

In addition, the new model is expected to be thinner than the competition. The rumor says it will be just 15 mm thick.
