■ソニエリ Xperia X10 mini ＆mini pro 発表、カードサイズAndroid携帯

バルセロナのMobile World Congress より。ソニー・エリクソンがXperia ブランド の新端末 Xperia X10 mini と Xperia X10 mini proを発表しました。X10 mini / X10 mini pro は国内ではドコモから「Xperia」の名称で登場する Androidスマートフォン Xperia X10 の小型版。mini は クレジットカードより小さい 83 x 50 mmで厚さ 16mm、重さは 88g。mini pro はやや横幅が広く1mm厚い 90 x 52 x 17mm・120gでスライド式のQWERTYキーボードを載せています。

2.55インチ 320 x 240 タッチスクリーンは両モデル共通。ソフトウェアは Android 1.6をベースに、X10とおなじ独自の統合メッセージ・コンタクトアプリ Timescapeを載せています。小型の画面にあわせた独自 UI は四隅にカスタマイズしたアイコンを配置するFour-corner control。 WebKitベースのブラウザや Google Mapsといったアプリはもちろん、Android Marketで一般Androidアプリの導入も可能です。(発売時期にはAndroid 2.xになっている可能性もあります)。

両機種共通の仕様は Qualcomm MSM7227 プロセッサ (600MHz)、WiFi、Bluetooth、A-GPS、5メガピクセルカメラ (AF, ライトつき)、ストレージは本体最大 128MB、microSDスロット (microSDHC 16GBまで対応、2GBカード付属)。ネットワークはUMTS HSPA 900/2100, GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 ・UMTS HSPA 850/1900/2100, GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900。X10 miniは白・黒にライムやピンクを含む6色、キーボードつきのX10 mini pro は黒と赤のカラーバリエーションが用意されます。X10 mini / X10 mini pro は世界の "selected market "で今年Q2から発売予定。
